Bed buying guide

Start with the mattress, room dimensions and storage needs.

Choosing a bed begins with the mattress size and the space available around it. Measure the room before deciding on the frame dimensions, especially where bedside tables, wardrobes or doors need clearance. If the room is compact, the height and depth of the headboard can affect how open the bedroom feels as much as the width of the bed itself.

Storage can be planned into the design when it is useful. Drawers or lift-up storage can reduce the need for extra cabinets, while a simpler frame may suit a room that already has enough storage. Upholstered headboards add softness and colour, while timber-look finishes can coordinate with other furniture. MonDee can discuss the preferred style, dimensions and finish before the order is confirmed.

Share the mattress dimensions, a photo of the bedroom and any reference design when requesting a custom quotation. That gives the team a clearer basis for discussing proportions and practical details before production. If you are furnishing more than one room, compare sofas in Nairobi or dining sets, or return to the MonDee furniture catalogue for the full range.
